Export data in the cell center

Hello,

Can I export data, like pressure and velocity fields, in the cell center instead of at nodes in CFX ?

Thank you for your answer,
Marine

ANSYS CFX does not uses cells, but elements and control volumes.

The control volumes are formed around a node as a collation of sectors of elements the node belongs to.

Now, which center do you want ? At the center of the element, or at the center of the control volume.

In any case, the export is always done at the control volumes values, i.e. the nodes. The nodes will be at the center of the control volumes for a uniform mesh only.

I would like to extract data in the center of the element.
Certain software, like STAR-CCM+, allowed to extract data either at nodes or in the celle center ... Why not CFX ?

Well, I think you can create Point Cloud object in CFD-post and then use it as export location.

Whoops. That won't work, sorry. I forgot that there's only Vertex sampling.
