Hi,
Is it possible to draw the streamlines based on the time average velocity field?
(I have activated the transient statistics in output control in CFX and I can view the time average velocity contours in CFD post but streamlines only exist for standard velocity field).
thanks for your attention,

The streamline object allows you to select which vector field variable it operates on. Change this to the time averaged velocity.

Hi all, I am new to the forum. I used Fluent to analyse the flow over a rotating cylinder. I used data sampling for time statistics and created cfd-post compatible output files. I now want to create streamlines of the time averaged velocity field. The Velocity.Trnavg variable is available in CFD-post, but it is not possible to select it as a variable for the streamlines. The vector field for streamlines are only: relative velocity, velocity, velocity in stn frame and wall shear. Any idea on how to compute the streamlines of the time-averaged velocity field?

Hello guys, I'm using dynamic mesh to simulate the sailboat in calm sea. But I can not make streamline pattern, someone can help me.

Gert-Jan will become famous soon enough
Your question has nothing to do with Time average streamlines. So, why do you pick up an old query? Why don't you make a new one?

Then........ what kind of streamlines do you expect? Are you convinced this is wrong? If so, why?

Hello, MvdB.
Did you find the way to do this?
If yes, may I ask how to do it?
thank a lots!
