Hello all,

I'm working on a mixed flow impeller. I used bladegen for blade profile and then used CFX turbo mode. Following conditions were used
1. Inlet BC : Pressure at 1 atm
2. Outlet BC : Mass flow rate - known
3. Using counter rotating walls for blade, hub and shroud resulted in errors. for what should I counter rotating wall ?

Counter rotating walls are walls in a rotating reference frame which rotate against the rotating frame to end up being stationary in the stationary frame of reference.

So for bits of your model which rotate (eg blades) you do not want these counter rotating. Just leave these as stationary walls (relative to the rotating frame of reference).

Thank you Glenn
I continued the simulations using blade, hub and shroud as no slip walls. I got a total efficiency in to out as 78.685 %. Now I wanna add a stator/diffuser to it. Is it possible to add both impeller and diffuser in ansys itself without building a CAD model in solidworks or Creo ?
