Hi,
I've just installed ANSYS 16 replacing the older version in Windows 7. I tried to solve a simple case in CFX. After I clicked Solution tab, I could still define run and start run. But, It didn't display the solver monitor. I could see a preview showing the contents of the application window when I hovered over in the application in taskbar. In a few minutes, It showed that the solver run finished normally and I could see the good result. Does anyone know what happened with my ANSYS? How to solve that issue? |

Sounds like a windows problem I think. Did you connect a second display or something so that the solver monitor is on another desktop? Or did you move the solver monitor window "off" your desktop (visible screen space)?

Thank you for your respond -Maxim-
No, i didn't connect anything or move the solver monitor window. Anyway, I have re-installed ANSYS, but it's still showing the same. |

mmh that sounds strange. What happens when you right-click on the solution field "Display Monitors"?
Other than that I am out of ideas. Maybe this is a case for Ansys support? |

When I encountered the issue, I wasn't allowed to click "Display Monitors" which is shown with grey text.
But, I've just solved the issue and it's sound more weird. I tried again to hovered over solver monitor tab in taskbar and I right-clicked maximixe. Then, the monitor is shown. Now, I can even show the monitor by right-clicking the solution field "Display Monitors". I think I haven't done anything significant to the app or the computer. |
