hello every one
I simulated free surface over spillway, before I run several trial there is no problem but now the problem of overflow floating point arise. note my mesh quality is good and physical set up is correct as trials before. I read the discussion in CFX faq about overflow point but I can solve mu prob. here is my CCL file is there is any mistake in it. thanks http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/att...1&d=1460462368 http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/att...1&d=1460462385 https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3...S02cGJlejBOcUE |

Make it save some backup files before it crashes. Have a close look at them for unrealistic conditions. Have a very close look at the backup file from just before it crashes. What happened just before it crashed? Very often this is when a surface wave reaches a boundary.

Make a backup file before it crashes and look at it in CFD_Post.

Make a backup file *BEFORE* it crashes.

If it has run for 10 iterations you can produce a backup file.
In CFX-Pre go to the output tab and select backup files. Change the frequency to each iteration. Then rerun the simulation and you should get 9 backup files before it crashes. To load these files in CFD-Post you have to go to the temporary directory (it will be a directory starting with a "."). |

Or you can create a backup file manually by clicking on the 'disk'-symbol in the solver manager (Ctrl+B). But both ghorrocks method and the one I just described are in the documentation. Maybe have a look?

I created buck up file, and a folder after saving was increased but how this file become open I tried in CFD post from file load result open file within the buck up folder, but I didnot see anything about how to solve this problem which prevent running |
