Hello everybody,
I simulated several heat transfer cases and was confused about something.Interface matches the fluid domain and solid domain together. But in the same location(same x,y,z,but on the different side of interface), the temperature in fluid domain and solid domian is not quite the same. The temperature is not continuous in interface and there is a temperature gap. I supose the temperature should be the same on the two side of interface.I am sure that the fluid domain matches the solid domain perfectly. So is it quite common in fluid-solid interaction? And how cfx deal with the boundary condition "interface"? |

On the fluid side you are most likely looking at the conservative temperature value, which would be the adjacent node temperature. If you look at the hybrid values, they should be continuous.

Thank you for your answer. So you mean the temperature should be the same at both sides of interface, there is something wrong with my simulation?

No. Conservative and hybrid variables are different ways of showing the data near walls. The conservative value is representative of the control volume adjacent to the wall, but that means its centroid is off the wall and therefore it is not at the wall temperature. Hybrid values are where the wall value is set to what the wall temperature is.
