Hi all,
I am modeling water flow over a circular plate placed in a rectangular channel. I have measured data and turbulence intensity profile curve (image attached). Can any body guide me on how to specify this turbulence intensity at the inlet boundary.
Is it possible for CFX to read this data Of turbulence intensity from a CSV file or the turbulence intensity will have to be converted into a .csv file of k and epsilon

Opaque will become famous soon enough
You should be able to use a .csv file with a column name "Fractional Intensity" or for clarity "Turbulence Intensity". For the latter one, you must map the name to the Fractional Intensity parameter such that the software can pair the column in the .csv file to the boundary condition setting. Otherwise, you must write the function yourself.

Hi Opaque,
Thanks a lot for your reply. Kindly make it a bit more clear for me. At the inlet boundary in boundary detail tab, In the turbulence option, I selected "intensity and auto compute length scale" and in the fractional intensity, I selected the user function that I created from the .csv file of the fractional intensity. But it gives an error message of

Bad expression value 'TI()' detected in parameter 'Fractional Intensity' in object '/FLOW:Flow Analysis 1/DOMAIN:fluid domain/BOUNDARY:inlet/BOUNDARY CONDITIONS/TURBULENCE'.
CEL error:
The following unrecognised name was referenced: TI.

Please help. Thanking in advance
