Hello,

Does anyone know if the pressure Poisson equation for the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations is used only with segregated solver or coupled solver too ?

Thank you for your help !

CFX does not have a segregated solver. It only has a coupled solver. The equations are solved as a coupled set of momentum and pressure equations, the pressure equation is not solved as a separate poisson equation.

Thank you for you response but my question is: which one of the following is used in the couped solver ?

The poisson equation + momentum equation or
continuity equation + momentum equation ?

The continuity equation is combined with the momentum equations into a single matrix for solution in the coupled solver.

So I guess that means "continuity equation + momentum equation" is the correct answer.
