areas of no flow

I am trying to create an area of no flow within a domain using CFX4.2 Build. I am investigating two approaches. The first is to define a solid area within the domain as a 3D solid patch. This has not been successful in creating an area of no flow. The second method is to subtract a solid from the domain for which I need a method. Any help is very much appreciated. Eve.

Hello, I think you need to create the solids only where you will have a mesh. Then the surfaces will be walls, symmetry, inlet, outlets... Where you will make no calculation it not interesting to discretize (mesh). jy
