cylindrical coordinates

Hi, how can I transform the calculated x,y,z velocities into radial, tangenial and axial velocities under CFX5.4visualize?

Thank You

Andreas

Re: cylindrical coordinates

There is no quantitative calculation available in visualise to do this. You will have to use the user export features to write the velocity fields to a file and then perform the transformation yourself.

Actually joecfd is wrong. When you have properly setup an RFR problem the radial, tangential and axial velocities are available on the vector plot form, at the bottom in the little selection box. There are several different options there.

Dan.
