CFX vs. FLUENT
can somebody give me a brief comparison of CFX vs. FLUENT in combustion applications? (our department's interests are furnaces, radiation chambers etc.)
General comments on work with CFX will be much appreciated.

(1). Why not create a small project first to define the problem your company is interested in, then give it to both vendors to work on it. (2). When it is done, you can make comparison on your own, based on your requirement. (3). Reacting flow application is not like flow over a 2-D wing or flow through a pipe. I would say that it is still a research subject. (4). You can focus on CFX in the first year and Fluent in the second year. This is also a good approach. I have seen companies with more than one code on their computer system. This might be another approach. Remember that the goal of a software vendor is to sell their codes, so, solving your problem is still your own business.
