Hi,

We are modeling the flow approaching a damn with bottom discharge (simulating the turbine demand) using CFX4.3 homogeneous model. Though the water stratifies pretty nice, we found an almost calm water on the surface even at a 1000 feet distance upstream the damn. Since the result, though feasible, is not totally convincing us, we would like to have anybody's else feedback on free-surface modeling accuracy (velocity field and water level) using the homogeneous model in CFX4.3.

Comments are greatly appreciated (i.e. validation exercises, previous experiences, validation papers, etc.). Regards,

Luis
