what is the meaning of the color of solid in Build

Hello everyone! I draw some geometry by CFX-Build. The surface, solid in Build shows different color: blue, green, red, peach, or yellow. When I want to create a solid from a surface by the extrude command, it send the message"only the green color surface can be done this process". What does the color of the geometry in Build mean? Can I change a peach solid into green solid?

Re: what is the meaning of the color of solid in B

Hi,
As far as I know there two kind of surfaces in CFX-BUILD. Bi-parametric (default color is green) and Trimmed (default color is green)surfaces. If you're intending to work with CFX-4, you must use Bi-parametric surfaces (the green ones) with 4 sides to avoid future meshing problems. In other hand, CFX-5 BUILD works with both kind of surfaces, green and magenta.
Take a look at BUILD's manual if you're still in trouble.
Regards,

There's an error in my phrase. Trimmed surfaces default's color is magenta, not green
