Remote control software for Open GL

(With reference to the previous posting)

Does anyone have experience with remote control and file transfer software that works properly with Open GL applications like CFX-Build, Fieldview, ICEM-CFD?

PcAnywhere and TimBuktu do not automatically refresh the screens that require OPEN GL. PcAnywhere fails completely, Timbuktu only refreshes the screens when you move the screens. Also, it is very slow.

This is an interesting question. I was wondering if you have tried the Windows 2000 Incoming Connection feature?

No, we use WinNT. Is there something similar available in WinNT?

I don't know if your version of Win NT has the built in connection capabilities for network connections but you can check.

On the Remote PC, open the Network Connection Wizard to see if there is a connection type "Connect to a Private Network through the Internet (Create a Virtual Private Network (VPN)connection or 'tunnel' through the internet".

On the local PC, see if there is a connection type, "Accept incomming connections (let other computers by phone line, internet, or direct cable)".

If these connection types are avilable, give it a try.

Hi

Try Netop remote conection software. It works for me.

Just switch from Hardware rendering (OpenGL) to software rendering.

Your connection should quite fast to have a good result
