Mass flow = 0 on opening

Hi,

I have a model with large number of inlets, outlets and few openings. Unfortunably, the database file for this problem is not working anymore due to disk error.

I would like to try to close 3 openings in the model.

It is possible to specify an opening with Zero Mass Flow rate ???

How will this influnce on the model,- does it work as a wall or ???

Hi Jens, yes , it's possible to specify an opening with zero mass flow rate defining it as MASS FLOW BOUNDARY and setting in command file or in USRBCS the zero flow condition.I have found a better convergence using the fortran subroutine.This type of patch works as a closed sect rather than a wall.

If you just want the old openings to be walls, you can just remove them in the geometry file. Remember to adjust the number of patches.
