Hi Everyone,

Which multiphase model should be setup in CFX for my project?

I would like to modeling the blood and contrast agent mixing in a linear vessel.
The geometry consists of a larger diameter pipe in which a smaller diameter pipe is inserted. Smaller pipe modeling the catheter which through the contrast agent is injected. I need to study particularly the mixing of the phases depending in inlet velocity. I don't have any knowledge of Free Surface Model or Surface Tension Model.

The important datas:
Large pipe length: 100 [mm]
L.p. diameter: 3.82 [mm]
Small pipe length: 10 [mm]
S.p. diameter: 2 [mm]

Blood
-inlet velocity: 0.25 [m/s]
-density: 1055 [kg/m3]
-din. viscosity: 0.0034 [Pas]
Contrast agent
-inlet velocity: 2.59 [m/s]
-density: 1399 [kg/m3]
-din. viscosity: 10 [cP]

Thank you in advance for any advice.

Best regards,
Levente

I would like to learn something too
Data about multiphase simulation is rare on the internet...

There's enough ANSYS training materials on torrents

Lots of tutorials are on the ANSYS Customer webpage, and ANSYS support has even more available.
