Hi Guys!!, I´m triying to especify in a cylindrical surface, a inlet flow with a angle respect to a normal vector of this surface. Should I create a new coordinate frame?,What i have to do?.

Assuming you're using CFX-5, you can specify a local coordinate frame whose Z axis is the axis of the cylinder. Then you should be able to specify velocity components as a function of angle (theta) about this axis.

Hi Sharks!!, I wasn´t specific enough, I did a slice to this cylinder, this slice has a angle respect to the Z axis of the cylinder. I want to place the inlet condition on this slice (velocity), this vector velocity has a angle respect to the normal of the slice.

What can I do?

OK, I think I understand now.

You should be able to define a coordinate frame which has one principal axis (e.g. X) aligned at an angle from the slice plane normal.

When you specify your velocity vectors for the inlet boundary condition, select this coordinate frame (e.g. Coord 1) to be your Reference Coordinate Frame for the Boundary Condition. Any vectors you specify will then be in this frame, with

U = U|xref, V = V|yref, W = W|zref
