CFXPost & Cylindrical CS

Dear CFX users,

I'm using CFX-5 for the fluid flow calculation. My domain contains cylindrical outflow boundary. Z-axis is axis for this cylindrical outflow boundary. In CFX-Post I can plot u,v and w velocities but I would like also to plot radial and tangential velocities at this outflow boundary. Is this possible? Any advice would be very helpful.

Best regards, Kagena

Well, you can define a new variable and calculate them in Post from u,v and w and the angle wrt your referential. Then you can plot the newly defined variables.

Hi Kagena,

For now you will have to calculate the components in Post. CFX-5.6 will allow you to view these automatically.

Thanks to all.

I calculate these velocity components in CFX-Post using vector scalar products.

Thanks again, Kagena
