I am running a transient simulation in CFX4.4, after running for some time steps, a get a message that "File limit exceeded, please create a new problem". What does this mean? I have not seen anything like this before! Please help.

I think I know what the problem is. CFX4 calls the files in a given directory m01.fc (for the command file for instance), and increments the number each time you do a new simulation - m02.fc, m03.fc etc. You have probably reached 99.

I suggest to fix it you copy the command file, geometry and anything else you need to a new directory and rename the files 01. You should then be able to run in the new directory.
