hi!!

can anyone tell me how to take into account wall roughness as given for commercially available objects like surface finish of pipes and spheres etc.(im using ANSYS FLOTRAN)

Hi Avijit In all commercial packages two types of wall options are available. One is smooth wall and other is rough wall. If the wall of your problem is rough then select rough wall option and and specify the relative roughness. I have used CFX-4, CFX-5 , TASCflow and Fluent. All of these softwares have this option. I haven't used Flotran, but I am sure this option must be there in this software. Good Luck.
