high velocity problem

Hello everyone! I am trying to calculate turbo-machine with long blades. In that case fluid velocity on the tip of blades will enormous and so calculation error will enormous too. Is there real possibility to workaround this problem in CFX?

Thank you in advance.

Re: high velocity problem

CFX 5 can do simulations with Mach numbers till 2 perfectly. Above Mach=2 it can still do it but is less reliable. I don't think you want to have a turbine with relative gasspeeds in the high Mach number range (flow has shocks, shocks cause losses and damage)
