CFX4 Build

Can somebody in this forum give me a hand/help on how to generate structured grid in CFX4 Build for a circular pipe?

Re: CFX4 Build

You need to create a H block, meaning that you have a central square that is connected to the outer (4) circle of the pipe. It is well described in the manual.

Ups -did not see your post further down

Hmm, not sure what is going on - better take a nap

Just before Jan takes a nap, remember that (say) if y becomes your radial direction in the solver, it should not be less than zero.

Re: CFX4 Build

For a 3D carthesian calculation why should it be a problem with y less that zero. (Still ZZZZZZZZ) Jan

Re: CFX4 Build

It only matters in a 2D axisymmetric grid (Y's should all be positive). In a 3D grid it matters not.

There's a standard example in the docs.
