Temperature at Opening

Hi, Friends:

I am running a simulation where I need to impose a constant temperature at the outlet. In the middle of the domain, there is a heat source and the incoming flow is at 298K. If I use Outlet for the outlet boundary, it does not allow me to specify temperature. Therefore, I go with Opening for the outlet and specify 298K at the outlet. The problem is CFX always ignors the specified temperature, instead, it treats it like an insulation (zero temperature gradient). Could anyone tell me how to enforce a constant temperature at an outlet or opening? Your help is greatly appreciated

Re: Temperature at Opening

Cui,

How can you define a constant temperature at the outlet if heat is being convected downstream?

The only time the temperature set at the outlet would be used is if there was inflow as well as outflow - the inflow would enter at the specified temperature.

Jon.
