I think there was a post about CFX5.8 and the new 64 bit AMD. Is it gone?, what happend or am I still sleeping ZZZZ Jan

I removed the entire thread because the original message in that thread was posted by someone, who, without going into any details, had posted false information in someone elses name in another forum. Hence, I suspect that this message was also without any foundation.

Keeping these forums "on track" requiries this kind of behind-the-scenes actions sometimes. I'm sorry if I removed a few "innocent" messages in the process, but it is often better to remove the entire thread when these things happen. Feel free to start a new thread about it though.

OK,

I'll repopst my original message then.

5.8 will offer at least flow solver AMD64 support on RH Enterprise 3. No promises on full product suppport. That is a big job and we are just getting AMD64 systems.

The other poster also mentioned the possibility of windows and solaris. I said solaris is a no go at all, just forget it. I didn't even know that solaris was going to support AMD64. Windows is a maybe. If Windows Server 2003 is out in time.
