Cross section 3d mesh

Hi,

I cant find a way of looking at the 3d mesh before running a solution. I would like to have a cross section of a 3d mesh in Pre or Build. Are there any way i could do that?

Hi, why don't you use CFX-post and create a plane instead? That should do the trick!

Hi,

complete meshing and save the .def file. Open the same def file in post as we do the results file. Then you can view the meshing by creating planes as done for post processing. You can also view/set meshing parameters like edge length ratio, angle etc.

good luck..

Viewing the mesh on surfaces within CFX is great, especially in the new ICEM package, but the only problem arises when tring to view the internal volume mesh. A collegue of mine who used to use ICEM (pre CFX) told me that there were was to view this internal volume mesh, however he has not been able to replicate this in the newe CFX - ICEM package. WIll this change ? or are we just not doing the correct things ? Bob
