rotation speed in the domain

Hi Everyone:

I am a new cfx user,I got some problem during using the soft to simulate hydraulic burbine. I know that it must be specified a rotation speed in the domain option. But I don't know what the rotation speed means. Whether is it an average speed of the domain? We know that different points in the domain have different rotation speed. How to explain it? All your returns would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: rotation speed in the domain

Rotational speed means angular velocity of turbine(solid) - not speed of particles.

Hi deLuther: Thanks for your returns. I am sure you have practise the Tutorial12 in CFX5.5 . In this Tutorial, the rotor domain(fluid) was specified a rotation speed.Whether is it the speed of the rotor blade ?

Re: rotation speed in the domain

Hi jiaye gan, In this tutorial(and in CFX) this means angular velocity of turbine rotor- speed at which blade is rotating about axis of revolution.
