Potential
I need model the value of a user scalar V in the fluid domain (but indipendent by the fluid).
The associated equation is similar to the heat conducting in solid. D=gradient D.(k*D V)=S How can I solve this equation? Thanks Andrea |

Re: Potential
Hi Andrea,
It looks like you want to solve a Poisson's equation. This is available in CFX-5.7, although it is hidden. Simply define a new additional variable and under the domain option, define it as a transport equation. After applying the domain settings, right click on the Fluid Models object within the domain and select "Edit in Command Editor". In the command editor, under teh ADDITIONAL VARIABLE object, replace "Transport Equation" with "Poisson Equation". Once this is defined, you will need to apply your boundary conditions, sources, etc. as you would for all other equation sets. Regards, Robin |

Re: Potential
Thank you but I have cfx 4.4...
