volumetric heat source

Hello everybody,

I have to model a fire as a volumetric heat source that is releasing 62.9kw. I have tried before but my "fire" was behaving like a solid. Can you give me some advices?

Have a nice day,

Ioana

Hi Ioana,

What do you mean by "behaving like a solid"?

Hi Glenn,

I mean I had just conduction. I think that I used a subdomain where I set a source that was releasing a certain heat flux. How can I define it to have convection as well?

I am trying to make a comparison between this model and the combustion models that's way I need it.

Regards,

Ioana

Hi Ioana,

I bet you have a problem with the buoyancy. Have you specified the gravity vector correctly? Have you specified the bouyancy model correctly?
