Meshing Strategy...

Hi People!

I'm really new to CFX and ICEM, being a previous Fluent/Gambit user.

With ICEM, I have an STL surface mesh of a bluff body that I need to fix within a cylinder. So I created a solid cylinder and then translated the STL mesh of my bluff body within the chamber.

The volume surrounding my bluff body (within the cylinder) is my flow domain, of course (with inlet and outlet at either ends of the cylinder). However, how do I mesh my flow domain now? I need to perform a CFX simulation, and I am unsure as to how to proceed. I would be grateful if anyone could advice please? Cheers!

Harmeet.

Simply create mesh by using tetra and add prismatic layers by using prism. Or you can use hexa to create hexaedral mesh. Just check out tutorials.
