I have a gas (water and hydrogen) in a graphite porous media. I suppose that the effective thermal conductivity is greater than the gas thermal coductivity.

How can I model that?

Thanks

If it's steady-state, just use the porsity weighted conductivity.

It is a steady-state, in Cfx 4.4

What did you intend for "porosity weighted conductivity"?

I have to set my gas thermal conductivity like

porosity*gas_therm_cond

or

porosity*gas_therm_cond+(1-porosity)*solid_therm_cond

Thanks

Andrea

You got it right with the second option. You have to include the effect of the higher conductivity.
