Making animation (URGENT)!
 

Hello!

I want to make some animation (AVI) about moving of fluid in mixing vessel with Rushton impeller. I don't now how to make this animation in which movement of fluid with some particles described will be. I have transient results, and I use CFX 5.7. I need this information immediately, because I prepare presentation for my diploma work.

Hi Matej,

you can do an animation across multiple res or trn files by using keyframes. For instance to do an animation across two res files, put on key frame at the start of res file 1, another keyframe at the end of res file 1; load the res file 2 and put a keyframe at the start and end of res file 2. When you record the animation file it should automatically span it across the two res files.

Hi,

I'm interested about this if I need to do another transient run with included particles, because I haven't included particles because I don't need them (I have only water). It is possible to animate movement of water with spreading some particles (or selecting some points) in water volumen in CFX-Post (without particle tracking conditions)?

Hi Matej,

particle tracking is different than simply streamlines (that, of course, you can plot directly, no tracking). You only need perform tracking if the particles are made of different material than the bulk fluid. Therefore you need assign properties and integrate trajectories taking into account coupling (one/bi directional) between fluid and particles. Just to visualize motion of water try with streamlines or vector plots. If you include beads, dust, bubles or another stuff then go to tracking particles.
