How to define a gadient boundary inside domain

Hi, all I want to define a gradient boundary condition inside a domain in CFX4, can some one help me?

thanks

Hi,

If you wish to define the temperature/enthalpy gradient you do that using heat fluxes. If you wish to define a velocity gradient you can do that using a wall and defining the shear stress.

I want to define it for a user scalar, this boundary is only for the scalar, the velocity and all the other transport species are not inflence by the boundary, which means the flow will go through this boundary without any restriction, is this possible in CFX 4? Thax

Hi,

You can also specify fluxes of scalars at boundaries. You might be able to do what you want with a scalar source term. Can you explain what you are trying to do?

Thanks, I plan to work this out by user source term. what I want to do is solve a Posssion equation for potential field in a subdomain inside the flow domain. The gradient potential boundary condition inside the domain rather than the flow boundaries. How to do this using user source term?
