Preprocessing
 
Hi everybody,

Here is one more question from my side, I want to know which Pre-processing software is more compatible for CFX,. How about GridGen

CFX-CAD2

ICEM CFD What is the procedure to export the models from these softwares and what is the format of file.

ICEM is most suitalbe

and now it is owned by CFX

Hi Rajuramiah,

CFX-Pre will accept a wide range of mesh formats so you can use just about any meshing package to generate a mesh for CFX. I have trialled Gridgen to generate meshes and it works fine, however I found ICEM better for what I was doing so we went that way instead. Most meshing packages will let you trial their software for a time to try it out. This way you can find out for yourself what is best for you.
