Cavitation model

Hello, I want to add or change the existing cavitation model inside CFX 5.7 or TASCFlow. Is this possible or not? thanks in advance for replay? Alaa

Hi ali,

Yes, you can define your own cavitation model in CFX5.7. I don't know about Tascflow. Have a look under mass transfer models in the multiphase section of the documentation.

Thank you Glenn. I hope to know about Tascflow and Cavitation modeling. Can anybody answer? I want to know which program CFX 5.7 or TASCFlow that I can use better to model cavitation? Ali

Re: Cavitation model

The cavitation model itself is the same in both codes, but the numerical implementations differ. I have seen cases which Tascflow has trouble with but CFX-5 does not, so I would recommend using CFX-5.
