Hi Guys, Please could someone tell me how to turn on the output of vorticity into the CFX5 results file.
I have read that you need to put this into the CCL: LIBRARY: VARIABLE: vorticity Output to Postprocessor = Yes END END but can't work out how to do this. CFX User |

Hi,
I assume you know how to edit the CCL for a run. If it doesn't work for you by editting the CCL, edit the VARIABLES file in the <CFXROOT>/etc directory. Make sure you keep a copy of the original file as if you stuff the VARIABLES file CFX will not run correctly! Glenn Horrocks |

Hi Glenn,
Is there any default variable defined as "vorticity" in CFX Post 5.7? I can't find it while trying to plot the contour of vorticity. Should we define it ourselves? Thanks for help. |

Glenn
I have edited the VARIABLES file in the /etc directory and it seems to work. Could you tell me how to edit the CCL for just the run itself. I have tried reading the variable command as per my initial post via the CCL import but just get error messages. I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong. I know how to put expressions into CCL but not extra commands. Is the editing of the CCL for extra variable done in pre or solve! Many Thanks CFX User |

Hi,
You should be able to put the CCL in using Pre or the solver, but I don't know the exact syntax. Hopefully somebody on the forum will know, otherwise contact your support rep. Glenn Horrocks |

Hi Pete,
If you did not edit the VARIABLES file or add the CCL to include it then the only way is to calculate it yourself in CFX-Post. Glenn Horrocks |
