Initial Pertubation
 

Hello All, I am trying to solve a problem to generate vortex shedding. I made an initial run as steady state. Now, I wish to do a transient run using the *.res of my steady state run. At the inlet I have a measured velocity profile. I imagined I should have a slight pertubation to aid in the vortex shedding, but I am not sure how to proceed, specifically for how long should the pertubatiob be ? and how should I start my inlet velocity profile. Maybe what I am trying to do is a dud, please let me know if I don't make any sense or if I do. Thanks
