details of jet mixing

sir i would like to introduce myself iam swarnalatha doing my final year M.TECH (plant design) in NITT. my doing my project in the topic jet mixing. i have to stimulate in cfx. we have created the geometer of my experimental set up. its a cylindercal tank (28cm dia & 28cm height) .a intet pipe with nozzle at 20cm height & outlet at 4cm from bottom contected to a recirculation pump. i have added the tracer at top liquid surface in my experiment .. how to introduce tracer in this cfx model. tracer is Nacl solution.

kindly reply

Hi,

Use an additional variable.

Hi,

Have a think about what is happening in your flow. A streamline is the path a massless particle would follow in a steady state flow. It does not tell you much about mixing. Using a user variable you can tell where there is no tracer, and the amount of tracer when it is present.
