Concentric Tube Heat Exchanger Analysis

HI. I am a M.E. student at VJTI Mumbai.

I have to carry out heat transfer analysis between two fluids through a solid region using CFX . I have built a simple model of two concentric tubes. Hot fluid flows throught the outer tube whereas cold through the inner. The two fluids are seperated by copper tube . How should I simluate these conditions so that the cold fluid gets heated by the hot fluid through solid copper.

Can anyone please guide me.

Hi,

This type of model is called "conjugate heat transfer" or CHT. There is an example CHT simulation which comes with CFX.
