Default micro-combustor simulation using hydrogen/air

Hi,

I am modeling combustion in a micro-combustor(2mm). In order to make it run, I injected premixed stoichiometric H2/air mixture @ T=300K. The initial pressure and temperature in the combustor are 1e5Pa and 1400K, respectively. Finite rate chemistry model is used and the forward reaction rate is specified as "Marinov one-step" mechenism(Marinov, Westbrook, and Pitz, 1995). Inlet H2/air mixture velocity is 50m/s and timestep is 1e-7 s. However, the results shows that it doesn't burn. I see H2/air mixture filled in the combustor and temperature is about 800K.

Since the dimension is very small, I do get a warning massage saying that the average Raynolds number is below 100, which is out of the range of the SST turbulence model.

Anybody knows why the combustion is not ignited? Thanks!

Is the Marinov mechanism predefined in cfx-5 or did you define it by your own?
