Backup from the command line

Hi,

Is it possible to create backup files during a simulation (like Backup Run in CFX-Solver), from the command line? If it is, how?

Thanks and regards,

Rui

Re: Backup from the command line

under the command line (assume your are using cfx5 solver) type: cfx5control -h

you will find the necessary information to back up files.

Hope this helps, regards, Forrest

Re: Backup from the command line

Thanks a lot Forrest.

It works with: cfx5control test_001.dir -backup (if test_001.dir is the directory where the Solver is running)

By the way, do you know if there is any difference between: cfx5control test_001.dir -stop ;and: cfx5stop -directory test_001.dir

Regards,

Rui

Re: Backup from the command line

Rui,

I don't know the the difference between them but they seem to be the same in terms of stopping a simulation.

Re: Backup from the command line

I believe you can also just create an empty file (with touch) called trn in the temporary problem directory:

touch myproblem.dir/trn

Hi,

I'm sorry but I didn't understand your sugestion. Do you mean inserting into the command line: touch myproblem.dir/trn ? (It doesn't work)

Could you please be more precise?

Thanks and regards,

Rui
