negative heat transfer coefficient

Hello,

Regarding the computation with conjugate heat transfer I have got negative heat transfer coefficients.

Would it be possible for someone to explain to me what happened? Since the difference of temperature determines the heat flux ,therefore, the heat transfer coefficient should be positive.

The fluid is water at 353 Kelvin, the massflow is 3 kg/s, the boundary value at the outlet is 3bar. The mesh is very fine (y+>6) and I used the SST Model.

Regards and thanks, Sigrid Andreae

Re: negative heat transfer coefficient

Considering your boundary conditions, I think maybe the result you got has not reach a convergency.
