theoretical equations

Hi guys For my project on "transient cooling of brake drum" I need to know theoretical equations involved during brake cooling and how to calculate the rise in brake temperature theoretically. Can anyone tell me some good book to refer or any good online site ???

Regards, wilson

Re: theoretical equations

Hi Wilson,

Sounds like fairly elementary heat transfer to me. Try any heat transfer text book. The one I use is "Fundamentals of Heat and Mass Transfer" by Incropera and De Witt.

Re: theoretical equations

hi cfx users i doing transient simulation of flow through inlet manifold of single cylinder SI engine. this involves moving mesh. i am unable to interpolate result file into definition file. i read the tutorials but unable to rectify the problem of "fatal error return with code 4". guys have anyone of u got this problem with interpolation. in moving mesh my piston movement is about 7 mm in one crash file. regards rakesh
