algebraic slip model with stirred suspension?
Hello everybody, I simulate a two phase flow in a stirrer where glass particles (200 micrometer) are suspended in water (fixed 5% integral volume fraction). I used to work with the Euler-Euler model (transient simulation), SST turbulence model and the Brucato variation of the Schiller-Naumann drag force model. The particles were represented as dispersed fluid phase. A solid pressure model guaranteed a maximum packing of 60%.
To improve the performance of my simulation Iīd like to use the algebraic slip model (ASM). The ASM will reduce the number of differential equations for the iteration and is implemented in CFX 5.7.1 but the model appears little adaptable. Thus, I canīt define a solid pressure model (necessary for ASM?) just as little as I can implement the Brucato variation. Does anybody know, how to deal with this problem?
