When I run CFX 5.6, I have had the following problem. What of problem could it be?

" ERROR #004100018 has occurred in subroutine FINMES. Message: Fatal overflow in linear solver"

Thanks in advance!

Check the user manual, but i've found this error usually occurs when the mesh quality is poor and/or when too large a physical time step has been used.

Hi,

To be a bit more specific, it means the solver has diverged in a big way, and this means your simulation is very numerically unstable. As James says this is often caused by a poor mesh or too large a timestep, but there are many other ways of causing it (eg non-physical model setup)
