Hi,

I am modelling a simple combustion problem using Arrhenius equation. I set the activation temperature to be 3000K and all other wall/inlet/opening temperature to be 273 K. The point is reaction is still taking place in bulk gas.

Moreover i need reaction on just catalyst surface (for now either a high temperature or heat flux in). How can I achieve that?

I have defined material in CFX using Reacting mixture>Gas Phase Combustion>Reaction(defined in Arrhenius tab).
any help?

Please start a new thread for a new question. Do not hijack other threads. I have moved this question to a new thread.

Have you looked to see if there are combustion and chemistry examples on the ANSYS Customer webpage? If there is nothing suitable there you should contact ANSYS support as they have access to lots more examples. The best way to get started into a new type of simulation is from a tutorial example.

Thank you for reply.

i thought it is against forum rules to open new thread when already same/similar question has been asked.

yes, I have done plenty of tutorials from youtube, ANSYS student portal, and others like from eureka.im.
Actually, those are ok but when i model my own reaction then problem starts.
