Good morning

I know it's the CFX forum but maybe someone can still help me....

Looking at ICEM CFD 4.3.1 I see there is a section where I can set the yplus value according to a result file.

I Have a cfx5.7 result file and I'd like to change my mesh taking in account the values I found.

Each time I try to do this I get an error.

Is there anyone who is able to explain me how to do??

Thank you all

Alex

Alex,

I don't know how to set the y+ from a .res file, but I normally use the equation DeltaY=L(y+)(Root(80*Re(x)^0.25))/Re(l) This specifies the absolute distance required for the appropriate y+.

So far its been pretty accurate. Hope this helps

I think the y-plus tool was under development for a while - but never really came to fruition. I don't think it ever worked.
