Phase materials ---temperature

Hi, all

I am trying to use a water phase and a air phase at 3C degree in my model. I also need to change the temperature to other values later. However in cfx it seems that the material properties are only available at certain standard conditions.

So, do I need to generate new material manually or are there easy ways to do it? Thanks!

Regards!

Jack

Hi,

Yes, you can generate new materials. The easiest way is to take the existing water or air fluid and just modify the bits you need.

You can also make properties functions of temperature. You can use this to either simply calculation of fluid properties at different conditions for a series of constant properties simulations, or to conduct a variable properties simulation.
