Output Excel File in Transient Simulation

Hi there,

I would be very appreciate for this if anyone could give me a better way to get output files from a transient run.

I'm running a transient simulation but It's just seen not very pratical when I want to get the output file (*.*csi) in different time step, especially with lot's of timesteps.

So, is there anyone know a better way to get the output file with certain variables in different timesteps?

Any method will be very useful for me. thanks for your reading and helps.

Hi,

Transient output files have the extension .trn - I have no idea what the .csi extension is. You can set transient output files to only include selected variables so the disk space used does not become excessive.

In CFX-Pre, have a look under output options, transient output files.

Well I have no idea what .csi format is but I suppose you are talkiing about .csv format.

For repetative tasks, you first record the session file and add a small if or do loop of perl to run the sessions file for lot of transient runs.

use the command editor + Perl language + write a simple loop function........

Refer to the manual for the available function & search in google about Perl programming if you're not sure about the syntax. I've automated the post without problem using this approach.

Cheers, TB.
