Hi

I carry out a simulation on pipe flow and I am wondering in the laminar sub-layer is there a considerable variation in temperature field as may exist in velocity???

I would be appreciated if any one can help me.

It won't be the same as your velocity variation, but if you have a temperature gradient, it will be resolved within the viscous sub-layer (if you have enough near wall resolution and are running a k-omega type model, such as SST).

I can give you some advice about heat exchanger simulation. I read all your messages posted here about heat exchanger. Can we share information via mail . please let me know a mail where I can write to.

Hi Robin

Your hints are logical and have a sense. I wrote a code in which I ignored the temperature difference but this may not a case for very difficult cases such a boiler or evaporator.

Thank you for your contribution
