Hi guys,
For Aerospace applications (up to transonic, internal, external flow, heat) - Can you give me your opinions of the software (Ansys CFX and Fluent) and maybe give me some details regarding their relative strengths and weaknesses? I am a Fluent 6.2 user, but have no experience with CFX. Thanks ! |

I used both Fluent 6.1 and CFX 5.7. I think it depends on your problem. Fluent user after using it like its interface, while CFX users say "the best thing in CFX is its interface". I think CFX has advantage in Turbomachines application. Also, it has more choice in turbulence models more than Fluent.

There're quite some improvements to both in recent years. It makes sense to reevaluate their capabilities. I hope someone who has both Fluent & CFX in their machines can tell me more about it esp after the CFX10 has released.
